Broadside Central Coast Chardonnay 2018

The Central Coast of California.  OMG.  What a beautiful place in the world.  Big Sur is amazing.  Watch The Sandpiper (1965) with Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton for a panoramic view of this part of California. Or, there’s the still wildly entertaining Play Misty for Me (1971) with Clint Eastwood filmed in Monterey and Carmel.  This would be a good Central Coast wine to sip while you’re watching all that fantastic Central Coast scenery.  This wine has a little bit of fizz on the nose, but it mellows into something creamy and pear-tasting.  It’s not terribly complex but it’s smooth and easy to drink.  I liked this wine, its price and the screw-top.  It reminds me of the late afternoon sun on the California coast.  That’s a good thing, right?
